Leopards Class Assembly

Today was Leopards Class Assembly we learnt about:
Fairtrade and the importance of a good breakfast.

We also learnt where food comes from:

Museli=South Africa
Orange Juice=Cuba
Honey=Zambia
Tea=India
Jam=Paraguay
Sugar=Malawi
Coffee=Nicaragua
Bananas=Ecuador
Pineapple=Uganda
Chocolate=Ghana

We heard poems about what Fairtrade does for people with rhyming words and also acrostic poems.

Special thanks to Mrs Winstanley and Mrs Dunne and the parents for coming to watch.

The assembly was ended with a song called ‘Turn The Tap'

Pandas

Today it was the Brant Broughton Easter assembly it was well attended with 38 people. With special thanks to Mrs Smart and Mrs Whinstanley for all the songs. Thanks to Mrs Parsons for being narrator.

We learnt about lent and Palm Sunday:

Polar Bears taught us: What the people did when Jesus arrived. They also sang a song to us.

Leopards taught us: About the last supper through acting and singing.

Mrs Cooper read the Bishop’s letter about Easter

Pandas taught us: About what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane with readings from the point of view of John, Peter and Young Mark.

The choir sang a song.

White Tigers taught us: A poem about Jesus and showed pictures of Jesus’ crucifixion.

Prayers were read from Ross and Amber

Palm crosses were given out at the end.
